A little about me

Prior to NSS, I have worked in many customer service roles. Although I loved helping people during those times, I wasn't using my critical skills I gained from my collegiate years. And because I lacked programming skills, I wasn't able to switch career. I have stumbled on taking some programming courses during my collegiate years but combined with my not so easy major (Mathematics) it wasn't doable. So when the pandemic hit and I became unemployed few months later, I decided to attend Nashville Software School's (NSS's) Full Stack Web Developer program and gain some programming skills. It was a great distraction from what was going on in the world as it kept me grounded and also gave me all the time I needed to focus on learning how to code. Once I grasp enough knowledge and started writing lines of code on my own and saw all the cool outputs I got, I felt excitement and became eager to code more and get more cool outputs. Once I started at NSS, and I delved deeper to coding I fell in love with coding more. NSS allowed me to work independently and on teams while contributing enthusiasm and passion to all projects. After NSS, I worked as a Software Developer for 3 years at ArchimedesRX, providing high-level support across teams. Being a software engineer allows me to use my problem-solving skills through technology and fulfill my eager to continue learning. I have built full stack web application and led a cross functional team in building a full-stack web application using agile methodologies while managing both internal and external data exchange. The wealth of knowledge and leadership experience I have gained throughout my career allows me to be confident in my ability to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within the data-based industry. In my spare time, I love to go out with family and friends, watch movies, try new foods, travel, explore nature, and participate in philanthropy events.

What do my colleagues/classmates say
  • Sosi is one of those developers who you can always count on to jump in, help out and push you forward to the finish line. Having worked on multiple group projects with her during our time at NSS, I can absolutely recommend her skills as a coder, her positive attitude and her shear determination to get the work done. My favorite qualities of Sosi's are her capacity for learning and growing, which she has demonstrated her whole life, her authenticity, and that she's just plain fun to work with. Any team would be lucky to call Sosi one of their own.

  • We met at work and instantly started a friendship after realizing through easy conversations that we had a few things in common. Sosina were a great co-worker, teammate, and great friend to me while at UBS.
